The Series LP VSEP system provides the same vibratory membrane separation technology as the Series i in a compact form factor.
Description
Pilot VSEP Technology. Real Process Results.
The VSEP Series LP is a compact, fully functional membrane filtration system designed for pilot testing, process development, and small-scale production. It incorporates the same Vibratory Shear Enhanced Processing (VSEP) technology used in our larger industrial systems, providing a practical way to evaluate VSEP performance using actual process streams.
With automated operation, integrated process monitoring, and the ability to test a wide range of membrane types, the Series LP allows engineers to determine how VSEP will perform on a specific application before moving to full-scale production.
From Feasibility Testing to Process Scale-Up
The Series LP is an important tool for developing a successful VSEP application. Pilot testing allows actual feed material to be processed under controlled operating conditions while evaluating membrane performance, permeate quality, solids concentration, operating flux, and other critical process parameters.
Series LP testing can be used to help:
- Determine the appropriate membrane type and separation characteristics
- Measure permeate quality and membrane rejection
- Establish sustainable operating flux
- Evaluate concentration limits and solids handling
- Optimize operating conditions
- Develop cleaning procedures and operating strategies
- Generate process data for scale-up to a production VSEP system
Because VSEP can process streams containing high concentrations of suspended and dissolved solids, pilot testing is particularly valuable for difficult applications where conventional membrane systems may be limited by fouling or solids loading.
More Than a Pilot System
While the Series LP is primarily used for pilot testing and process development, it is also capable of operating as a small-scale production system, with permeate flow rates of up to approximately 1 gallon per minute, depending on the membrane, feed characteristics, and operating conditions.
This makes the Series LP a flexible option for applications that require relatively low production volumes, specialized separations, research and development, or continuous treatment of smaller process streams.
Built Like a VSEP Production System
Like our larger VSEP systems, each Series LP is built in the USA and designed for reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.
Automatic operation and inline monitoring of key process parameters are standard, allowing operators and engineers to observe system performance and collect meaningful process data. Custom configurations and options are also available to meet specific application and installation requirements.
Prove Your Application with VSEP
Every difficult separation begins with understanding the feed and determining the right membrane and operating conditions.
The Series LP provides a practical bridge between initial laboratory testing and a full-scale VSEP installation, allowing customers to demonstrate performance on real process material, develop the necessary operating data, and move forward with greater confidence.
